Hi, I’m Sandra — a proud mama of three, “Grandma” to five beautiful grands, and a transplant from Arkansas now calling Northern Virginia home. Through Mama Wisdom, I share reflections on life, faith, family, and the lessons we gather along the way.

Mama Wisdom began as a space to walk alongside women navigating life’s ups and downs with grace, laughter, and faith. Over time, I discovered these stories were resonating with more than just women. That’s when I realized something simple but powerful: wisdom rooted in lived experience and faith is for anyone willing to listen.

After walking through my own seasons of challenge, I learned that every ending can also be a new beginning. At 54, I returned to college and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude. That chapter reminded me—and continues to remind me—that it’s never too late to rise, rebuild, and rediscover who God designed you to be.

Here, I write about faith, parenting, family, wellness, and the lifelong work of becoming whole. While my perspective is shaped by motherhood and womanhood, my hope is that these reflections encourage anyone—at any stage of life—who finds themselves searching for meaning, healing, or hope. If you’ve ever felt unseen, weary, or unsure of your next step, you’re not alone here.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me walking, reading, enjoying time with family and friends, or wandering the aisles of Barnes & Noble with a cup of coffee in hand. My heart is happiest when surrounded by good people, good stories, and the gentle reminder that God’s timing is always perfect.

I look forward to you getting to know me, and hopefully, to getting to know you too. If you ever need a quick prayer, feel free to email me—I’d be honored to place you on my prayer list. Between me, you, and God… we got this.

With love and light,
Sandra 🌿
