Rest. Period.
Exhaustion.
That feeling when you have nothing left to give. Not one more opinion. Not one more argument. Not one more deep sigh when the news notification lights up your phone.
That’s how many of you, my dear readers, are feeling.
And I need you to hear this clearly:
I see you. I hear you. I understand.
I am posting another blog today because I sense many of you are anxious, afraid, and exhausted after waking up to the news of the United States having entered into war with Iran.
This morning I stood in the shower. The water ran. I searched my mind for the right words to pray for you, and many others who are experiencing anxiety and exhaustion.
I didn’t know what to pray.
I didn’t know how to pray.
So I prayed the prayer that Jesus taught His disciples — The Lord’s Prayer.
Sometimes, Mama wisdom says, when your own words run out, borrow heaven’s.
We are living in uncertain times. Every day — every hour — we are bombarded with breaking headlines, urgent alerts, and the constant hum of unrest. There is rarely a quiet news cycle. Rarely a calm day.
It is wearying.
But let me ask you something gently:
Who are you certain about?
Because while governments shift and headlines scream, I am certain about God.
I speak Psalm 91 over myself. Over my loved ones. Over my city. Over you.
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty…”
That Psalm is not poetry for pretty church services. It is shelter language. Fear language. It is the sound of a woman planting her feet when the world feels unstable.
And here is something else Mama wants you to remember:
God will never put more on you than you can withstand. When the pressure feels suffocating, when anxiety tries to grip your chest, when exhaustion whispers that you cannot carry one more thing — that is not the end of the story.
I have lived long enough to recognize the moment when He raises His strong right arm as if to say, “Enough.”
And when He does, everything shifts.
He loves you like that.
I also want to remind you: having peace is not a verb. Peace is not an action that any politician, any headline, or any circumstance can bring to you. Peace is a noun. Peace is a Person. And He is the King of Kings, and His Name is Jesus.
So if today you are exhausted — spiritually, emotionally, mentally — do not shame yourself for it. Exhaustion is often the byproduct of caring deeply.
Step back from the noise when you need to. Turn off the alerts. Whisper the Lord’s Prayer. Speak Psalm 91 aloud even if your voice trembles.
Uncertain times do not mean an uncertain God.
Rest under His shadow today.
Love,
Mama Wisdom
